This Tech-Tip will explain how to install and configure the:-
Insert the SURFCAM DVD
Click the Install Now button for the SURFCAM Network Manager
(this is the only thing you need to install)

Select Language then click the Next button

Click the Next button to continue the installation

Verify the installation path and click the Next button to continue

SafeNet Driver installation warning, please remove your USB SURFCAM SIM before clicking the OK button.

Installing the SIM Drivers

Select your Program Folders and click the Next button to continue

Select the NO option, you will reboot after the next screen.

You have completed the installation, click the close button and reboot the Server

Install the SURFCAM Network SIM on the License Server's USB port.

Double clicking the License File (companyname*.SCLIC) and the SURFCAM License File Installer appears.
Clicking the Install License File Now button will prompt you to STOP the License Service.
Note the Installation Path, it should read the location where the License Service is installed.

You must Stop the License Service before you can install the License File, otherwise it will not be able to overwrite the file. DO NOT click any buttons yet, proceed to the next step.

From the Start Menu select ALL PROGRAMS - SURFCAM Network Server 8.0 - Stop Server

Click the Yes button to install the License File

Restart the License Server, click

From the Start menu Select Control Panel, Windows Firewall

Adding Exceptions
Click the Add Port button

Click the OK button

Click the Start button ALL PROGRAMS - SURFCAM Version - SURFCAM Network License Icon
The License Manager will scan your network for any License Servers and the results will be displayed
Highlight the License you want to check out and click the OK button.

If the Create Shortcut button is grayed out, run as Administrator to enable it.

Highlight the specific License and click the Create Shortcut button, an Icon will appear on your Desktop
